Thinglink
Thinglink is an editing software that allows for a creative spin on story telling. The program allows for you to use 360 photos and videos and add interactive icons with information. Pictures, Videos, Websites and so much more can be added to create an interactive story or map. This Thinglink gives a walk through map to tell viewers about the Parkland Shooting in Florida. The Thinglink is a map that marks the path the shooter took during the shooting at the school.
Google Maps
MyMaps through Google allows for users to map out activities, sites and many other things in a particular place. This software can be very useful when talking about a national news event or something local to give viewers perspective. This Google Map shows the city of Boston which includes Churches, Libraries, Activities and Historic sites to see while visiting the city. Boston is my home town so it was a fun experience to be able to give viewers perspective on where I grew up.
Videolicious
Videolicious is an editing software used to create snackable videos from your mobile device. The videos are short, conscious and to the point. Videolicious can be used to give insight on a breaking story or even an event. This stackable video is on UADM 5K Run to raise money for the Miracle Children at Children's Hospital of Alabama.
Photo Essay
Google Slides offers an alternative way to telling a story. It allows the user to incorporate pictures and videos to tell a story in a different way. Many viewers are use to articles or videos alone but using Google Slides incorporates both. This Google Slide is on a local Tuscaloosa Farm that supplies goods to the Tuscaloosa River Market.
360 Photos
The Google Streetview App allows for users to take 360 photos on their mobile device. These photos are interactive 360 photos, meaning they show every view. The front, back, sides, top and bottom. All the viewer has to do is click on the screen and drag around the photo. These 360 photos are of a Landmark, beauty shot and an event in Tuscaloosa.

Vengage Infographics
Vengage offers a more interactive and creative way to create a flyer or resume. I used this software to create a resume that is more interesting than the usual paper one.
Digital News Critique
The Digital News Critique involved evaluating a company on their marketing and social media accounts. My critique was on the company Nike. The research revealed that Nike could post a lot more than they are and that would benefit not only their sales but reputation.
Banjo
Banjo is a program that allows the user to find twitter posts in a certain location at a certain time. Users can use Google Chrome and add the Banjo extension to incorporate Instagram posts. The Banjo exercise link to the left shows a group of posts ready to go on broadcast. The exercise was for signing day and uses posts across the country.
Insta360
The Insta360 camera by Google allows the user to take virtual reality videos and 360 pictures. The small device has many options from plugging into an iPhone to a timer that counts down for a picture. I used the Insta360 camera to take a video of the University of Alabama's Quad during the day. I incorporated an interview into the video and took 360 pictures as well.
